Rose was my driver when we took buses from Coventry to bus rallies in the late 1970s, and was also a leading light in the purchase of CVG 239 from the PTE for preservation, which I was also involved with. The fact that 239 remains with us and active today is a lasting tribute to Rose. As a teenage Schedules Clerk I remember the support she gave and also the wicked streak that she had. I also remember clearly after we had bought 239 spending a day taking as many salvagable parts that we could out of the 'scrappers' at the back of Harnall Lane.

I found a couple more CCT/WMT people that passed away during 2011:

Eileen Hinton (nee Connolly): http://www.bmdsonline.co.uk/8153337
John (Jack) Hastings: http://www.bmdsonline.co.uk/12960688

Perhaps you knew them?

I never personally knew Rose Bradley at all, but i have heard alot of people mention her name before and i'm sorry to hear that she has now passed away !!! I've enclosed a picture of Rose here, pictured with some of her "WMPTE" colleagues and standing by Daimler CVG "239", soon after its purchase for Preservation !!! Graham Shaw is easily recognisable on the front left hand side here, but can anyone put any names to the other people in the picture ???
