As my name suggests my biggest interest is photography but numerous others besides; road transport of all types but mostly confined to the 1935 -1965 period, computers (I was a freelance computer journalist for a number of years) and technology, family history, modern social history (industrial revolution onwards), sociology, modern art, architecture, writing, reading, and there's still a bunch of others.

How do I find the time? I'm retired and live on my own. :D

I also am retired, but don't seem to have time to do everything. Apart from doing a certain amount for this site, I run three websites. One is for MS-Solihull, for which I am also a minibus driver and the IT person. Another is for the CCT Society, which takes up quite a bit of time. The third is my own personal website, where I post papers on theoretical physics, one of my interests, papers on risk and innovation, an area where I worked and developed working methodolodgies, my poetry, which I have little time to write these days and papers of general philosophical interest. Apart from that, I participate in the activities of the RSA and I am a member of the Institute of Physics.

We grow our own fruit and vegitables in raised beds in the back garden. In my spare time (what spare time?) I play table tennis and attend a Pilates class. I enjoy listening to orchestral, chamber and operatic music, jazz and real, old-fashioned rock.

I'm a retired computer consultant and I still try to keep up with what's happening in that rapidly changing industry. My main interest now though is genealogy, not just my own family history, but a worldwide 'one-name' study for which I run a website for the Clan MacSporran Association. I try to keep fit swimming a mile 3 or 4 times a week.

I forgot to say, until two years ago, I was an every day motorcyclist. I traded my BMW R1150RT in for a Smart car (the nearest thing to a bike) when I found it just too heavy going riding a big bike round town. I thought the long distance runs would still be worth it but then, after a five hour run, every bone in my body ached for days, so I decided enough was enough. I did the National rally from 1987 to 2005, then thought I had done enough.
