Can confirm AM will close on Dec 31. I was at the Council Meeting when that decision was given out. Last day open is likely to be Oct 30. The collection is initially being stored and it is anticipated that a number of vehicles and artefacts will be stored at Fir Tree. Basically the Charity has kept all its assets including cash which seemed unlikely at one time. Given the building is now to stand empty one has to wonder at the Councils logic unless there is some grand plan for the area Roger Burdett

very sad times , for aston manor me and the family had some great times over the years there. really is such a sad time for the chaps that have spent lots of time working so hard when they moved into the buliding in 1985. the building was virtualy derilect i did hear from sources around aston that the building was going to be bought to do asian weddings. such a great shame, the building should really of been priced on the pictures that were first took when they moved in, or taken into consideration

On AM owned vehicles and Artefacts, they are all to be removed into storage pending a decision on whether alternative premises can be found. This decision is likely to happen early 2012 On loaned vehicles I do not know what will happen as yet There is a side agreement in place re 334 and if the decision is made to disband then 334 moves to my place for future use as I funded and project managed the restoration Roger Burdett
